Short Biography

Xingqin Lin is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Tianjin University (China) in 2009 and the M.Phil. degree in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011, respectively. His research interests are mainly in the broad area of wireless communications and networking. He currently works on device-to-device communications, carrier aggregation and mobility modeling and analysis for HetNets. He received the Microelectronics and Computer Development (MCD) fellowship from UT Austin in 2012, and held summer internships at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ in summer 2012, and Nokia Siemens Networks in Arlington Heights, IL in summer 2013.
